Working with Children

For a number of years working in primary school we have observed the positive emotional, intellectual & social impact art experience has on children.

We are committed at Splat! to a fun, relaxed environment where children have the freedom to express themselves. They will have the support of our artistic knowledge & know their creativity is valued.

At the core of our model is the individuality of each child. We will introduce artists & art movements each week as inspiration, providing the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of media & art techniques along the way. Each class will have a vision & structure but will be open to adaptation according to the childs feedback.

Each child will be given a sketch book at the start of the course. We will guide them in the use of this to develop their own unique style as well as becoming familiar with the language of art. All art materials will be supplied & included in the termly fee.

We aim to lead a nurturing environment accessible to all; a space where ideas are openly shared & critical thinking developed.

Adults

We aim to offer a space where adults are relaxed and given the opportunity to learn new skills at their own pace. The sessions are fun and productive, with each person taking home their own unique creation at the end of the workshop.
