We will guide each child to develop their own unique style whilst also becoming familiar with the language of art. All art materials will be supplied & included in the termly fee.

Children's Weekly Classes

At Splat! we are dedicated to providing a nurturing & creative environment for children to explore their creativity & develop art skills. Our experienced art teachers are passionate about inspiring young artists & put together an ever changing exciting program of activities.

In our classes we explore traditional & modern fine art techniques from clay modelling to found object sculpture, from tonal study to abstract impasto painting. We introduce artists & designers & encourage open discussion.

The supportive environment we strive for is core to providing the most fulfilling art experience.

Our weekly classes run during school term time & cost £10 per class. We ask that classes are paid for termly. This enables us to source & provide the best quality & range of materials for the class.

Summer Holiday Programme

We are excited to to be running 1.5 & 2 hour sessions for 2 age groups in the St.Bernard's Room on the ground floor of the Lifecare Centre in Cheyne Street, Stockbridge Edinburgh EH4 1JB.

Under 7 years

Over 3 weeks Monday-Thursday 14/7/25-31/7/25 at 10:30am-12 noon

You are welcome to stay with your young ones for the session but are equally welcome to leave them for a busy 1.5 hours of arts and crafts fun, led by our team of art teachers.

There is a cafe at the centre open from 9am - 3pm serving hot drinks and snacks.

We will provide plenty of activities to keep the youngsters busy including painting, experimenting with mixed media including textiles, clay modelling and construction.

All materials and aprons will be provided so leave the messy play to us and let your young artists explore and experiment in a safe, nurturing environment.

Age 7 - 12 years

Over 3 weeks Monday-Thursday 14/7/25-31/7/25 at 1pm - 3pm

We will provide a range of art activities during these sessions with a flexible schedule including:

3D art using various materials
Using kitchen sink printmaking methods combined with quality art materials we will explore lithography and other printing techniques to produce multiple fun, unique images.
Using mixed media such as collage and textiles in traditional and unconventional ways we will produce recycled art.
Painting with acrylics, watercolours and gouache on canvas with guidance from our expert art team with plenty of scope for experimenting.

All materials and aprons will be provided so leave your young artists to get creative and explore in a safe, nurturing environment.
